3NTR uses 3D printing to bring the Aero helmet to market - Momodesign

In the world of mobility, the Italian company Momodesign has made a distinctive mark. First founded in the early 1980s, the company has become the benchmark in the field of urban bike, electric bike, helmet and accessory design.

This has become especially true in the last 20 years, after Momodesign released the first half-jet helmet for the metropolitan scooter, which became something of an international icon. Today, Momodesign is reaching new heights with its latest creation:

Aero, an innovative helmet with a unique design and high-performance features. What makes the helmet particularly interesting to us is that Momodesign decided to use 3ntr's 3D printing solutions in its design process, which shows that 3ntr is gradually becoming the Italian choice for professional AM solutions. Here, we are talking about rapid prototyping, not end-use production.

Rapid Prototyping by 3ntr's 3D printing solutions

However, considering Aero's innovative concept, 3ntr's 3D printing solutions were able to provide a significant advantage for the project "With Aero, Momodesign decided to revolutionize the market, using technical solutions that our competitors had not had the courage to use for 50 years," explained Mirko Rigo, Commercial Director of Logico Design.

“3D printing allowed us to get a working prototype in a very short time and get the answers we wanted more easily. In addition, this particular technology has been helpful in finding the best solution whenever we are faced with a crossroads of functional and design options."

As one can imagine, transforming such an original concept into reality requires a demanding prototyping phase, which can be difficult to maintain in terms of cost and time if carried out using classical production technologies. However, with the use of 3ntr printers, Momodesign has been able to drastically reduce costs and production times, obtaining extremely reliable prototypes on a functional level. As one can imagine, transforming such an original concept into reality requires a phase of demanding prototyping, which can be difficult to maintain in terms of cost and time if carried out using classical production technologies. However, with the use of 3ntr printers.
